I did something stupid and something stupid happened as a result
Or I have no excuse complaining.
Back in December I went into a depressive spiral and didn’t do anything besides go to work, come home, and cry. During this period I had books that I didn’t return to the library when due, which racked up a fine. To the point where the county library system has sent a collection agency to pick up their money ($30) and I’m banned for LIFE from the King County Library System.

Just more reminders that I need to get my shit together. An open note to kids: Don’t be like me return your books ‘cause I was an asshole, Okay?
Someone please get this book for me.

Books
So I’m going to trade in some books at the used bookstore later this week. What are some older or classic books that I need to own?
Behold - the fanciest thing I own, a box full of Advance Readers’ Copies of TEAM HUMAN, a book that Justine Larbalestier and I wrote, which will not be out until JULY! Would you LIKE one?
It is about that first time in school when your best girlfriend has a boyfriend and she loves him SO MUCH and she talks about him ALL THE TIME… and also, he is a vampire.
Seemed a good idea to start tumblring with a FANCY GIVEAWAY!
If this gets reblogged 100 times, I shall put all who did so in a hat for one of these fine fancy things…

synesthia? it’s uncommon, but not as uncommon as you think.
I don’t think that’s it. I was talking to my dad about it, and he gets that way same feeling with music.
A Weird Question
Does anyone else relate books to food? Like to books have “tastes” to you? For example, The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. For some reason when I think about that book I also think about the taste of avocado and crackers. Or the Harry Potter series. That tastes like chocolate (gooey, cheap chocolate). Am I nuts and possibly just really food obsessed or do other people get this too?
